A Brief History

The Liberian Community Organization of Kansas and Missouri (LICOKM) was incorportated in 1986, replacing the now defunct Young Energetic Liberian Association (YELA).
Our goal and objectives is to assist all Liberians in the area of education, family or personal emergencies, group life insurance, social activities, and inter group communication (Newsletters). Moreover, we aspire to maintain our ethnicity, "Africanity", and cultural values while living in the United States.
While LICOKM strongly supports individualism, we publicly seek to promote programs that will enhance, advance and enrich the lives of all our members.
